Ensure P2P (Platform Access) is enabled on your NVR and that it is online.

Initial App Setup Using P2P Connection

1. Install DMSS:
   • Download DMSS from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
   • Install the app on your smartphone.
2. Add a Device:
   • Open the app and tap the "+" icon.
   • Select "SN/Scan" to scan the QR code from your NVR interface (Main Menu > Network > P2P) or the device's box.
   • If the QR code is unavailable, manually enter the serial number.
3. Device Configuration:
   • Choose the device type (e.g., NVR, DVR/XVR, or Wired Camera).
   • Enter a recognizable device name and the admin password.
   • The default password is abc12345.
   • Tap "Save".

How to Search for Humans and Vehicles on the DMSS App

To search for human and vehicle movements using Smart Motion Detection (SMD) filters on the DMSS app, follow these steps:

1. Open the DMSS App:
   • Launch the DMSS app on your smartphone.
   • Log in using your credentials if required.
2. Navigate to Playback:
   • Go to the playback section by selecting the Playback tab from the main menu.
   • Select the camera or device you want to review.
3. Apply Smart Motion Detection Filters:
   • In the playback section, you will see a Filter option. Tap it.
   • Select the Smart Motion Detection (SMD) filter.
   • Choose the type of motion detection you want to filter for—select either Human or Vehicle detection based on what you're searching for.
4. Search Events:
   • The app will now show all detected human or vehicle movements during the specified time range.
   • You can view the relevant events on the timeline or in the event list. Tap on any event to review the footage.
5. Review and Manage Detected Events:
   • You can playback the event footage, save it, or share it directly from the app.
   • For further action, you can also configure event notifications as explained earlier in this guide.

Event Notification Setup

1. Subscribe to Notifications:
   • On the Home page, tap the three dots next to your device.
   • Select "Device Details".
2. Enable Notifications:
   • Tap "Notification" and switch it on.
3. Configure Alerts:
   • Choose the events for alerts, such as AI Analysis features (e.g., Tripwire, Missing Object).
   • Select the channels for each feature and save the settings.

By following these steps, your DMSS app should be configured for remote access, human and vehicle detection, and event notifications.
