Do I need landlord permission?
Usually, yes, where you rent the property or the installation changes the door, wall, wiring or external appearance.
Will a smart doorbell work with my intercom?
Compatibility varies. Many apartment intercoms are closed systems, so the existing model and wiring must be checked before any promise is made.
Can I install a camera in a communal hallway?
Not without the appropriate approval. Shared hallways and entrances are normally controlled by the freeholder, landlord or building manager.
